Acai Berry Weight Loss Diet

by Emily Namnik
(Perth, WA)

I've finally gotten back onto the ‘weight-loss’ wagon and just lost 6kg in 6 weeks with intense exercise, clean eating and the Body Concepts supplements (after putting on 16kg in 2 years!).

A few friends have suggested I try the Acai Berry diet with them to speed things up. I'm not keen as obviously what I'm doing is working, I'm enjoying the process and planning and because it's a steady loss I'm confident I'll maintain it. It's proving to be a definite lifestyle change.

I've read your article on the Acai Berry diet, but was also forwarded a link to a news article on the Acai Berry Weight Loss diet.

If you have time would you be able to comment on this? No hurry and no stress if you can't, as I said I'm pretty happy with what I'm doing and do value your opinion.

Congratulations on Your Weight Loss Emily!
by: Steve

Hi Emily,

Great to hear from you and congratulations on your weight loss!

I visited the site you mentioned and have seen it before. It has been put together by a very clever marketer. If you look at the very top of the page it says, 'Advertorial', which means it an editorial style ad!

The bottom line is this, the product in question is simply Acai berry with some psyllium husks added to it. Of course, psyllium husks are a great fibre source and they will certainly help to clean out your bowel, which can then help you lose weight!

I recommend simply adding some psyllium to your cereal each morning. It is really cheap and may be purchased from any health food store or pharmacy.

As far as the Acai goes, we have it in our Super 7 Blend for the antioxidant properties it has, not the supposed weight-loss properties, which we could not find any reputable research to support!

I think you should simply keep doing what you're doing, it is working for you! Let's face it, there are no short cuts or quick fixes when it comes to burning off body fat. Sure, you can lose weight fast but fat can only be burnt off slowly.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Steve.
