Psyllium for a mid morning snack...

I mix in 5gm of Psyllium husks with 15gm of puffed rice and chuck in the microwave for a mid morning snack. I add about 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence and some ginger and it really helps...

I am amazed

It is me one the left.

I have been trying to lose weight my whole life. Really! I was a chubby kid and then a chubby teenager and then a chubby university student. I have tried every diet possible and now for the first time in 28 years I have started to really work my butt off. I work out 5 times a week and I eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. I read every single article I can find on eating healthy. And your article really helped me a lot. My husband and I started using fiber powder as part of our breakfast, but I did not know why it was so good for me. Thank you for the time and thought put into this article.

Psyllium husks

Hi,

I came across psyllium husks in a receipe and from there I have come across this website. I must say, I have never heard of psyllium husks before but after reading your website I am very intrigued. I have had over the years bowel problems and am interested to see if this will help, as well as possibly help me lose some weight. I also like the comments on cholesterol.

I have found this very interesting and have saved to my favourites as I'm sure I will be reading up on this often from now on.

Psyllium Benefits

Since reading your article some time ago I have been taking between one to three teaspoons of psyllium husks every day for the last 6 weeks - the results have been fantastic! I would never have thought such a simple and inexpensive addition to my everyday regime would leave me feeling light and energetic - I have also been sleeping much better (not sure if this is related but hey, I'm happy!) Thanks for the article and all the great updates you send out - keep up the good work!

I am taking 5mg of Crestor Tablets per day to reduce my cholesterol. Would you recommend me taking Psyllium Husk as well, or should I refer my concern to my regular GP?

Enquiry about psyllium husks

Hi,

I'd like to find out if I can take this psyllium husks with luke warm water every morning? Also, should take it once a day or twice a day? Can I have it in the morning as well as at night? Please advise on the right dosage as I do not want to face any side effects.

Hi there, reading your article has put a thought in my head. At the moment I am so bloated and feel the need for a pin to pop me! I seem to get fuller & fuller and now really uncomfortable. I am going straight to the shops tomorrow to buy some psyllium husks. Hopefully this will help in regulating me so I don't ever have this problem again.

How I Discovered Psyllium Husks

I watch Dr. Oz everyday and on this day he was talking about whole psyllium husks and how good it is for your system. Well I started taking it because I was having a lot of trouble with consipation. The second day after taking it I had the best bowel movement I've had in a long time. I feel I have a lifetime discovery.

Psyllium husks are disgusting

The title says it all. Abosultuely disgusting. Sure it really helps and everything, but everything has a catch, and this one tastes horrible, absoltuely repulsive.

I was straight vommiting after I had consumed some with oatmeal (it was so gloopy). Then, an utterly HUGE mistake, I decided to have some on its own just to test its flavour. It tated AWFUL, revolting.

I'm not interested in weight loss but one of my friends recommended it to me for some strange reason. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Just saving you from any trouble.
