Best Weight Loss article

Hi Steve

I've got your book and I find that each time I pick it up I learn more things about fitness and nutrition.

I found the information in the above article very interesting in how the weight loss tips work for different people. This surprised me.

Do you have any good tips for weight loss for a 54 year old woman who had a hysterectomy last year and has been gaining weight and also suffering with fluid retention?

I look forward to your informative newsletters.

Cheers,

Jenny Porter

Tips For Losing Excess Weight After Hysterectomy
by: Steve

Hi Jenny,

Great to hear from you and thanks for your feedback.

I certainly don't have a lot of expertise in this area and recommend to speak with an 'open and educated' doctor about this issue (they may be hard to find).

Here are a few points and suggestions that you may find useful though:

- Post Menopausal Weight Gain

- By taking out a woman's reproductive organs the likely result is a large discrepancy between the female hormones, estrogen and progesterone because the fat cells still produce estrogen (and of course, estrogen causes fluid retention). This means that supplementing with some natural progesterone may be beneficial. This will help to balance the hormones.

- I also recommend going on a low-carb diet and seeing how your body responds to that.

- Definitely use a supplement like GI Factor because of the glucose disposal agents it contains.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Steve.
