On top of this regularly exercising can help burn fat as it increases the number of mitochondria which are commonly referred to as the cellular power houses of the body. If you increase their number and size then you are providing more energy for the body.
It's also important to remember why you are wanting to burn fat, to keep in shape and help with weight loss. Regular exercise can help with this alongside a balanced diet simply through burning more fat or calories than you take in. It is this deficit in your calorie allowance that than means you lose weight as your body is having to burn fat within your body to keep going through the day.
