Controlling Food Cravings

Simple ways to control food cravings

controlling food cravings

Here are the 5 most effective ways for controlling food cravings. If you want to know how to stop food cravings forever, then this information is just what you need.

Here are 5 principles you can use to overcome food cravings:

1. Eat small meals often (never skip meals)
When people want to lose weight they will often skip meals. By doing so, their blood sugar level falls and this leads to cravings for high carbohydrate foods because these foods bring the blood sugar level back up quickly.

By having 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day, your blood sugar level will remain stable, which will help with controlling food cravings, particularly cravings for high-carbohydrate foods.

2. Eat a wide variety of foods, particularly fruits and vegetables
One of the main causes of food cravings is nutrient deficiencies. If you have a limited variety of foods in your diet a nutritional deficiency is highly likely, which may result in cravings.

Fruits and vegetables provide a wide variety of vitamins, mineral and other phytonutrients (nutrients from plants) that can ensure you don’t become deficient in certain nutrients and therefore get cravings.

3. Use GI Factor
One of the major causes of food cravings is a low blood sugar level and this usually results from skipping meals or consuming high carbohydrate foods. High carb foods initially cause a surge of sugar into the blood stream but this is then rapidly stored by insulin resulting in a sudden drop in blood sugar. This of course, makes controlling food cravings very difficult.

GI Factor works by improving the efficiency of insulin, which means you can easily maintain a stable blood sugar level. By keeping your blood sugar level stable, you are able to control food cravings much easier.

4. Use MultiBoost It is virtually impossible to get all the nutrients your body requires on a daily basis just from your food. Therefore, over time, nutrient deficiencies may result, which make it almost impossible to control food cravings.

By using MultiBoost every day you supply your body with a range of nutrients that may be lacking in your diet. As a result, controlling food cravings becomes much easier.

5. Drink more water
The thirst and hunger mechanisms in the body are very closely related. Often when you are dehydrated you may believe you are hungry rather than thirsty and end up eating rather than drinking.

By regularly drinking water throughout the day, you keep your body well hydrated and are able to control food cravings much easier.
