Thank you soooo much for this article. It really cleared up a lot of queastions I had. I personally have lost 20lbs over a two and a half month period by just eliminating all carbs ...or so I thought. I was however eating a lot of steamed broccoli along with egg whites, and other proteins and consuming much more bottled water.

Hi, I am trying to lose weight. I am 28 years old and weigh 195 lbs. Just 5 years ago I was 170 lbs and was underwater weighed at 7.1% body fat. In attempts to regain my health I've been working out and eating better this year. Unfortunately I injured myself and cannot work out for the next month. I want to make sure I eat healthy during this time to not lose all the work I've put in already. Knowing what foods to eat is very important to be succesful. Thank you for your help!
