Glucose Disposal Agents (GDAs)
Powerful Insulin Resistance Supplements!
Glucose Disposal Agents (GDAs) describe a group of compounds that enhance nutrient uptake into cells by increasing the efficiency of insulin. They help people achieve normal blood sugar readings. They are also known as insulin resistance supplements.
Glucose disposal agents help maintain a stable blood glucose level, resulting in more efficient use of body fat for fuel. High levels of insulin in the bloodstream (resulting from high blood glucose levels) lead to greater fat storage and reduced fat mobilisation. Compounds like GDAs that help remove glucose from the bloodstream, and hence lower insulin levels, are thus beneficial in helping burn fat and lose weight.
Finding ways to increase the body's uptake of glucose into cells is particularly useful for people who are trying to lose weight because they are often 'glucose intolerant' or 'insulin resistant' to some degree (a symptom of Type 2 diabetes).
This means that their body is not able to achieve normal blood sugar readings after a meal, which causes them to have a constantly high blood sugar level. Not only can a high blood glucose level contribute to fat storage and an inability to lose weight but it may also damage blood vessels and nerves.
Blood glucose (blood sugar) also has a major impact on energy levels as well. It is best to try and maintain a stable blood glucose level throughout the day to maximise energy levels.
There is also some suggestion that indicates that low insulin levels may substantially slow down the ageing process. All the more reason to use glucose disposal agents.
