Here is a chart of protein foods

It is imperative that you have the highest protein content food in your diet if maximum weight loss is your goal. Foods that contain protein have a powerful satiating (appetite-suppressing) effect as well as providing amino acids to the body for building body tissues.

There are so many benefits to consuming the highest protein content food on a regular basis, including the following:

Boosts Metabolism

Amino acids provide the building blocks for all body cells and tissues. By consuming foods with protein every few hours throughout the day, you provide you body with a constant supply of building blocks, which can help to maintain your muscle mass and therefore keep your metabolism elevated.

Since foods that contain protein require more energy to be digested by the body than foods that contain mainly carbohydrate or fat, your body's metabolism will increase for this reason as well.

General Health

Since our bodies are ‘dynamic’ structures, which means they are constantly breaking down and building up tissues all the time, this constant supply of foods with protein becomes an essential part of daily living if we want to achieve and then maintain optimum health, energy and body composition.

Not only is it important to have the highest protein content food every few hours because of the tissue-building benefits, but there are many other health and weight-loss benefits as well.

Appetite Suppressing Effects

By consuming foods that contain protein in all your meals, you are able to keep your appetite suppressed. This is because food with protein has powerful satiating effects brought about by stimulating the production of cholecytokinin (CCK) by the stomach.

CCK is a hormone that travels in the blood and goes to the hypothalamus in the brain, which is the part that control appetite. This is where it stimulates the brain to provide feelings of satisfaction from food.
