I appreciate your comment and totally understand what you mean. When I first started learning about nutrition, it was based on the Food Pyramid and when I started using that approach for my clients in the early 90's I couldn't work out why they didn't get results.
Then, after competing in bodybuilding and following a bodybuilding diet things all started to make so much sense.
After that I started learning about the political side of things that went into creating the Food Pyramid as well as the science behind why that approach will never work for weight loss. It is really quite fascinating.
