List of Low Carbohydrate Foods

Here is a list of low carbohydrate foods that you can use when you want to select the best carbohydrates to consume on a daily basis (your daily carbohydrate intake. The low carbohydrate foods list also contains high protein foods and foods containing good fats. By emphasising these foods in your diet on a daily basis you will be able to dramatically accelerate your weight loss efforts.

The main reason why emphasising these foods in your diet works so well in helping you burn fat fast and lose weight is simply because they don't stimulate, and may even suppress, insulin release from the pancreas.

List of Low Carbohydrate Foods

Since insulin is a lipogenic (fat storing) and anabolic (tissue building) hormone, it is a double-edged sword whose production/ release in the body must be carefully controlled if maximum fat burning and weight loss is desired.

Accordingly, eating more foods from this list of low carbohydrate foods (protein, fat and low density carbohydrates) and less high-density carbohydrates is probably the number one nutritional recommendation for weight loss!

By eating more foods from the following list you will be able to keep your blood sugar level stable. By keeping your blood sugar level stable, insulin will stay low in your body and by keeping insulin low, your body will be able to access and utilise stored body fat as a fuel source more effectively. This approach to weight loss is even recommended before reducing your food intake simply because there are metabolic problems that may arise from reducing your food or calorie intake. For example, a reduction in your food intake automatically slows down your metabolism, which will make long-term weight loss more difficult.

Furthermore, anecdotal evidence suggests that you can eat even more food (calories) if you simply change the proportion of macronutrients consumed, i.e. more protein, less fat and carbohydrates.
