This article screams me! I have a very stressful life at the moment and no matter what i eat and how long i train the weight will not budge. I only have a a few kgs to lose and have been training so hard and restricting my calorie intake too much.

I sought some help from a counsellor who informed me that the stress I am inflicting will not allow my body to get rid of the extra kgs. I really enjoyed this article and hoped many more people read it and comment. thx, Jo

So True! I liked this article and it encouraged me to take some quality time for myself! I work, run a business and have a family and almost never give myself time these days...This article has helped me see I need the time to myself to meditate or just enjoy the silence!! Thank you.

Putting it into Perspective

This article helped me think of weight loss from the right perspective and actually put me off wanting to lose weight 'fast' and 'now' because I know it's not fat I am losing.

I really look forward to your emails to do with health and nutrition. I found the above article to be informative and I can personally relate to a lot of what you have written above, especialy mental stress and weight gain. I really need to try and de-stress and maybe the weight might start to disappear.

I actually went to my gp to inquire about my weight gain when i was doing everything just as i had always done.

I was advised in order to keep things in check i needed to exersise for one hour every day!

Your article makes alot of sense to me !

I am convinced that your article is correct. My aim was to lose only 4 kgs over a six month period. It is now obvious to me that when I am in a less stressful environment my weight and general well-being becomes more balanced. I now have learnt to control my stress levels and as a result I have reduced my weight and generally feel more positive.
