Symptoms of Thyroid Problems
Here are the symptoms of thyroid problems. If you suffer from 4 or more of these low thyroid symptoms then it is worthwhile investigating further to see if you have any thyroid dysfunction.
Hypothyroidism is a condition where the thyroid gland produces insufficient amounts of thyroid hormones. Hypothyroidism may also result from excess rT3 production.
An under-active thyroid gland makes it virtually impossible to lose weight. It is also associated with a host of other physiological problems.
Here are the signs and symptoms of an under-active thyroid:
• Poor eyebrow growth (esp. outer third)
• Menstral abnormalities
• Cold intolerance
• Depression
• Difficulty swallowing
• Essential hypertension
• Fatigue
• Hoarseness
• Poor concentration
• Elevated cholesterol
• Muscle cramps
• Cold hands and feet
• Puffy eyes
• Throat pain
• Swelling under eyes
• Infertility
• Constipation
• Dry skin
• Irritability
• Eyelid swelling
• Hair loss
• Hypotension
• Nervousness
• Brittle nails
• Muscle weakness
• Poor memory
• Slower heart beat
• Weight gain
