The Physiology of changing body composition.

Aside from the use of resistance exercise, the body has certain nutrients that can change the distribution of weight gain as to the amount that will become lean body tissue and that which will become fat.
The mass production method of raising livestock and maintaining our dairy cattle has had the unintended consequence of reducing a particular nutrient by 3 to 5 times. The nutrient is CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid). We no longer have adequate amounts in the meat we eat or the dairy produces we consume. When beef and dairy cattle were allowed to graze the meat and the dairy products were rich in CLA.
I will be anxious to see your report on weight loss and see if there are any other keys to why only 5% of the dieters maintain their weight loss 3-5 years. 100 years ago, obesity was not the problem as it is today. With 70% of the country now being overweight, we need to find an answer.
