Tips For Toning Up Fast!

Here are the best tips for toning up fast! They are a combination of exercises, nutritional strategies and supplements and they can help you achieve results in record time!

Before we cover each of the principles involved in helping you achieve your body toning goals, it is important to firstly understand exactly what 'toning' is.

Is it losing fat? Is it hardening an area of the body? Is it increasing muscle? The dictionary defines 'tone' as, 'creating tension in a muscle' but that doesn't really sound like a definition relating to changing body composition at all, does it? I must admit though, it is a phrase most people can relate to. For purposes of this article, I will define 'toning up' as, "losing fat and slightly and increasing muscle to achieve a 'harder' looking body". I think this is the sort of body most people would want to achieve.

Tips For Toning Up Fast!

If you're willing to give these principles a chance you can rest assured that the results you will achieve will be nothing short of phenomenal. You will be able to achieve a more shapely, toned and curvaceous body than you ever have before and best of all you will be able to do it without starving yourself or excessive amounts of exercise.

The first thing you need to do though is to make a commitment to perform all of the actions on a daily basis for at least the next 3 months. After that, you don't have to do them as often but you will still need to consistently perform the same actions.

Even if you know all of the principles for achieving a toned body, if you don't actually use them, then simply having the knowledge is useless. It is no different to not having the knowledge at all! Therefore, if you want to achieve your body toning goals, you must be willing to apply the principles to your life every day.

Tips For Toning Up: Nutrition

Toning up fast doesn't involve simply performing a range of exercises, it involves utilising a whole range of lifestyle factors of which, nutrition is one of the most important.

Many people believe they can simply 'eat healthy' and achieve their body toning goals. However, most people aren't aware of what eating healthy is! Eating low-fat foods like muffins, yoghurts and rice cakes aren't going to help you with toning up. In actually fact, they'll make it much more difficult!

Eating healthy in order to lose weight and achieve your body toning goals involves a whole range of very specific nutritional principles that are discussed in quite a bit of detail throughout the site. Plus, you also need to keep in mind, our definition of toning up. Whilst eating healthy will certainly assist with losing body fat, it is only part of our definition of toning. The other part requires that you maintain or slightly increase your muscle mass.

This aspect of toning, from a nutritional perspective, involves consuming a small amount of protein with each of your meals. The protein is made up of amino acids, which provide your body with the building blocks it needs to make body tissues, including body-shaping muscle.

If you don't provide your body with small amounts of protein throughout the day then it will go into a catabolic state. This is also called a negative nitrogen balance. This will stop you from being able to achieve a 'toned body' and will also make losing body fat much more difficult.

If you would like to know how to add more protein to each of your meals, here's a list of high protein foods.

By simply having a slightly higher protein intake and a slightly lower carbohydrate intake, your body will automatically change its composition to one with more lean body tissue and less fat, which is exactly what toning up is!

Tips For Toning Up: Weight Training

Weight training is undoubtedly one of the best ways for toning up fast. Unfortunately though, many people avoid lifting weight under the mistaken assumption that they will 'bulk up'.

Whilst it may be possible to increase your muscle size through weight training, if you control your food intake it is virtually impossible! In fact, it appears that only beginners may be able to experience muscle hypertrophy (muscle growth) if they control their food intake! Plus, the amount of muscle they actually put on is relatively small.

Nevertheless, lifting weights are definitely the best toning exercises to perform and will definitely assist your body toning efforts.

The best workout routines for toning involve exercising all of the major muscle groups of the body. For more information about how to structure your workouts based on your experience level, please read, Bodybuilding Routines.

Tips For Toning Up: Aerobic Exercise

The other type of exercise that is essential for toning up is aerobic exercise. The main benefit of aerobic exercise from a body toning perspective is that it helps burn up more calories (energy), which means you can burn off body fat faster. It also provides some physiological adaptations, which may assist your body in becoming a more efficient fat burner.

If you want to get the best results when it comes to toning up, you will need to perform at least 20 minutes of aerobic exercise every day. At the very least perform it 5 days a week. It is important that you select the type(s) of aerobic exercise you enjoy and do long term. Here are some examples of good aerobic exercises to incorporate into your lifestyle: walking, jogging, boxing, swimming, rowing, cycling, aerobic classes, stepping machines and cross trainers.

Muscle Toning Tips: Supplementation

The final group of principles for toning up are based upon supplementation. These supplements can help you burn fat and build or at least maintain muscle so you can achieve a toned body.

Fat burners or thermogenics, like XLR8 Thermogenic, are good to take prior to your exercise session because they boost your energy, level, speed up your metabolism, and help mobilise more fat from your fat stores, which may then be used as a fuel source by your body.

Other supplements that are worthwhile considering include, creatine, glucose disposal agents (GDAs) like, GI Factor and thyroid-support supplements like, Thyron.

Fish oils and a good-quality multivitamin are also beneficial.

If improving your health, losing weight and toning up are goals for you then make an effort to incorporate these body toning tips into your lifestyle.
