Training To Lose Belly Fat

Training To Lose Belly Fat

By Kieran Moloney

When you want to start training to lose belly fat, there is much debate about what is the ideal workout to eliminate belly fat. Some believe in weight lifting, some believe in pure cardiovascular exercise and others their own specific workout routines. While I'm sure they are all good ways to lose belly fat the main question is 'are you going to do them on a regular basis?

There are a lot of really great workout programs around and if done exactly as they are outline for a period of time they will help you Lose Belly Fat. However, for an individual who has a 9 to 5 job, has young children to care for and is living 30 minutes from the gym then maybe that great circuit training workout that requires lots of gym equipment isn't the ideal workout for you.

Instead, perhaps running the roads or doing a bodyweight circuit at home is the best option for you with your time-strapped lifestyle. Realistically, some sort of exercise that you find manageable and feasible doing 4-6 times per week is the best option in the long run. As a result, you will more than likely find yourself losing more belly fat this way then following a workout that you find inconvenient for a week or two and then just gives up.

If you are someone who has access to all of the gym facilities and has the time most days to complete a decent workout then I would say that a combination of circuit training with weights and high intensity interval training is one of the best forms of training to lose belly fat. The frequency of both the weights and the Cardio really depend on your level of fitness to begin with.

The circuit which should encompass dumbbells and your own bodyweight should be done no less than two times per week to really jack up your metabolism and get it burning calories for you. Then High Intensity Interval Training cardio sessions should be done at least 2 times per week. If you feel that you can manage more then throw in an extra session or two but no more to ensure recovery and maintain your enthusiasm!
