What Are Symptoms of Diabetes ?

How to Identify the First Signs of Diabetes...

It is important to know what are symptoms of diabetes because as soon as the first signs of diabetes show up, some simple steps can be immediately taken in order to reverse this condition.

As a result of insulin resistance excess glucose remains in the blood stream. As a result, the excess glucose is then passed through the kidneys into the urine to be removed from the body.

This is typically what happens in type 2 diabetics.

Here are some of the first signs of diabetes:

1. Need to urinate more often.

2. Always thirsty.

3. Have more urinary infections (i.e. cystitis, thrush)

4. Tiredness (because the cells aren't getting enough glucose)

Long term, excess blood glucose may lead to the following problems:

1. Blurred vision.

2. Tingling, pain or perhaps sores on the feet that don't heal (this is a sign of peripheral neuropathy).

3. Frequent infections esp. thrush.

You may not experience all of the early signs of diabetes to be be diagnosed with having type 2 diabetes. Many of the first signs of diabetes tend to emerge slowly over many years and you may have developed the disease long before you are likely to experience any diabetic symptoms at all.

Diabetes is one of the most common diseases in today's society and knowing what are symptoms of diabetes is essential in ensuring the disease does not occur in your body.
