Why Starting Your Day Well Can Help You Lose Weight

What do you do when you wake up in the morning? What habits do you perform consistently every day? Do those habits help or hinder your progress towards your weight-loss goal?

Most people who are in great shape consistently perform the same actions every day, particularly in the morning, in order to help them stay in great shape.

Start your day well

For example, one of the best habits to incorporate into your lifestyle is morning exercise. It doesn't matter what form of exercise your perform, however, what is important is the fact that you do it consistently! Of course, you may have a morning off occasionally, perhaps one morning a week, but by simply performing some exercise most mornings you will be able to achieve and maintain fantastic results.

There are many other habits you can incorporate into your morning routine in order to assist your weight-loss efforts. Nutritional habits as well as what supplements you take all play a role.

Even though everyone's lifestyle is different and you need to determine the approach that best suits you, here are some suggestions that have proven to be effective:

    EXERCISE:
  • Take your dog for a walk
  • Go to the gym and lift weights/ run on a treadmill/ ride a stationary bike/ participate in an aerobics class
  • Do some yoga

  • NUTRITION:
  • Don't skip breakfast
  • Control the amount of carbohydrates you have for breakfast, i.e. don't drink fruit juice, have a maximum of 30 grams of cereal, don't have more than one slice of toast
  • Don't have highly processed foods for breakfast
  • Wait 20-30 minutes after your workout before having breakfast in order to maximise fat burning

  • SUPPLEMENTS:
  • Take a thermogenic before your morning exercise session. XLR8 Thermogenic is a good example
  • Add some protein powder to your cereal to increase the protein content of your breakfast
  • Have some fish oils and a multi-vitamin/ mineral supplement with your breakfast

By consistently performing these morning actions on a daily basis you will be able to achieve your weight-loss results much faster. Plus, good morning habits will certainly put you in a positive frame of mind for the rest of the day!
